Purpose of the Role

To manage and implement the service management framework for internal service provision, including management of contractual documentation, service change governance, and performance reporting. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to facilitate a consistent and efficient approach across all global Service Management offices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management, oversight, and implementation of the service management framework for internal service provision.
  • Collaboration with teams across the bank to ensure adherence to internal service management processes.
  • Management of internal service change governance processes, including oversight and maintenance of contractual agreements for internal service provisioning.
  • Development of reports and insights on internal service management performance and communicate findings to internal senior stakeholders.
  • Participation in projects and initiatives to improve internal service management efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identification of areas for improvement to continually evolve internal service management through process improvement and automation, and work with business stakeholders to implement changes.

  • Consult on complex issues, providing advice to People Leaders to support the resolution of escalated issues.
  • Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
  • Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
  • Perform work that is closely related to that of other areas, requiring understanding of how areas coordinate and contribute to the achievement of the organisation's objectives.
  • Collaborate with business-aligned support areas to stay updated on business activity and strategy.
  • Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
  • Communicate complex information that may be sensitive or difficult to convey.
  • Influence stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes.

Skills and Experience Requirements

  • Self-starter with the ability to confidently and effectively influence stakeholders.
  • Critical thinking and experience with data analysis, drawing out key insights.
  • 2-3 years of experience in service/vendor management or a risk & control role in the context of outsourcing.
  • Understanding of the financial services sector and key business segments.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance, preferably in the financial services sector.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
