Tower Hamlets London Borough Council is currently seeking a Senior Practitioner Mental Health Social Worker/ AMHP in the Bethnal Green Neighbourhood Mental Health Team.

Key Responsibilities

Tower Hamlets London Borough Council's multi-disciplinary team focuses on caring for adults aged 18-65 in the Northwest area of Tower Hamlets who have severe and enduring mental health issues. The role involves:

• Supporting the Team Manager in delivering strength-based models of practice.
• Maximising the use of service users' individual strengths and their support networks.
• Providing early assessment, comprehensive treatment programmes, and continuing care.
• Assisting clients in their recovery and enabling them to maintain their quality of life.

Tower Hamlets London Borough Council welcome applications from Approved Mental Health Professionals and experienced Social Workers willing to undertake training for this role.

Requirements

• A recognised social work qualification and registration with SW England.
• Experience working in a community mental health setting.
• Excellent teamwork and leadership skills.
• Familiarity with relevant legislation such as the Care Programme Approach and Mental Health Act.
• An enhanced DBS Certificate satisfactory to Tower Hamlets.
