About the Role
As the Senior Development Viability Officer, you will lead on viability matters in Richmond and Wandsworth, maximizing affordable housing delivery. This role involves managing planning aspects, securing financial contributions, and collaborating with external viability consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert advice on planning applications regarding affordable housing.
- Implement and review Local Plan policies on affordable housing.
- Coach and build in-house capacity within the Planning service.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure timely decision-making and high-quality service delivery.
Requirements:
Richmond Council welcome applications from planners and surveyors with a solid understanding of planning and viability. An excellent grasp of national, regional, and local planning policies is essential.
