This is a great opportunity to join Richmond Council's friendly and supportive Richmond and Barnes Locality Social Care team led by engaging and experienced senior managers. The team consists of a Locality Manager, Assistant Locality Managers, Senior Social Workers, Social Workers, and Social Care Assessors who provide a holistic, personalised, strength-based service to residents over the age of 18 who have physical disabilities and older people with physical and mental health disabilities.
The team is based 12 minutes from Clapham Junction in the heart of East Sheen, co-located with Richmond Council's district nursing colleagues and conveniently situated next to two large GP surgeries, the library, Sheen Day Centre, and the Alzheimer’s Carers Café.
Richmond Council is looking for a positive, motivated, and experienced social worker who shares Richmond Council's values and commitment. Your Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Richmond Council's busy duty service.
- Carry a small caseload of complex cases to ensure the safety and well-being of Richmond Council's residents.
- Supervise two team members to support them with their statutory duties.
- Facilitate service user choice and empowerment through promoting independence and strength-based practice.
