Role Overview
The Principal Planning Sustainability Officer will be instrumental in helping both boroughs achieve net-zero carbon targets by 2043. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating compliance with climate change policies in the Local Plans.
- Ensuring the delivery of net-zero development across Richmond and Wandsworth.
- Upskilling the wider planning team on sustainability practices.
- Leading sustainability assessments and providing technical guidance for optimal carbon savings.
- Coaching and supervising junior officers in sustainability matters.
- Evaluating planning applications and providing advisory support to Councillors.
