Overview

EEAST is seeking applications for an experienced consultant to join as a core member of the Digital Delivery team within the IM&T directorate. The Microsoft Office 365 Suite Consultant role is central to the delivery of critical integration services across multiple systems which are essential to the overall delivery of the Trust's Digital Strategy. This role requires a high degree of autonomy to deliver a quality service.

The successful candidate will be accountable for leading and driving progress in identified areas of responsibility, aligning with established national and local priorities. Hybrid working is available, with the post holder required to attend one of East of England Ambulance Service's three Regional Trust bases - Bedford, Chelmsford, or Norwich as necessary.

Main Duties of the Job

The Cloud Technologies Specialist will play a key role in developing the Trust's Cloud strategy and lead the design for the Cloud infrastructure enabling projects. Core principles for this role include:

  • Reducing the burden on clinicians and staff to focus on patient care.
  • Ensuring clinical information can be safely accessed wherever needed.
  • Improving patient safety across the Trust.
  • Enhancing data and information visibility for better operational efficiency.
  • Boosting NHS productivity with digital technology.

The post holder will ensure that the benefits of digital transformation are realized within the organization, supporting East of England Ambulance Service's workforce in utilizing digital technologies and driving innovation in digital health services. This role will also be pivotal in integrating digital systems across the local health and social care economy to deliver outstanding care and treatment.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Degree/HND level qualification in computing or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Recognized qualification in IT, Business Systems, or similar (e.g., Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert - MCSE).
  • Experience as a technical specialist with the ability to act autonomously.
  • Experience with Cloud-hosted solutions and substantial knowledge across a wide range of IT technologies.
  • Familiarity with LAN, WAN, Wireless technologies, Computer Aided Dispatch systems, Telephony Systems (analogue, digital, VoIP), Windows Server, Exchange Server, Firewall technologies, and Active Directory.

Desirable

  • Significant experience working in an IT team within the Ambulance Service or Health sector.

  • Experience in migrating on-premise solutions to Cloud.
