Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a full time (37.5 hours per week) Band 3 Physiotherapy Support Worker to join Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts's multidisciplinary team providing stroke rehabilitation on Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts's hyperacute and acute stroke wards at Queens Medical Centre.

Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trusts is looking for someone who has previous experience of working in a rehabilitation or care setting, who is enthusiastic, compassionate, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care. This post would be within the physiotherapy team, working alongside all other disciplines. The successful candidate will assist the team with hands-on rehabilitation and administrative tasks, requiring excellent time management skills and flexibility.

Main Duties of the Job

The successful candidate will have a passion for delivering patient-centered care, helping patients maximize their independence in preparation for hospital discharge. You will:

  • Work alongside physiotherapists to assist patients in improving their mobility and balance.
  • Implement rehabilitation plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Participate in service improvement, training, supervision, and yearly appraisals.

Training and Qualifications

  • GCSE (A-C) in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Willingness to undertake further training and learn new skills.
  • Working towards or achieved NVQ level 3 or equivalent in a health-related subject.
