Overview

Wise Employment is seeking an experienced Furniture Buyer for an expanding and well-established company based in the Plymouth area.

This permanent, full-time role operates Monday to Friday from 8:45 AM to 5:30 PM. The position offers a competitive salary (dependent on experience) and a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

As a Furniture Buyer, your key responsibilities will include:

• Maximizing sales, margin, and profitability within a fast-moving and diverse category.
• Developing relationships with new and existing suppliers to ensure maximum efficiency and value for the business.
• Implementing product strategies that meet customer needs and reviewing competitor information to keep the product offering relevant.
• Leading supplier negotiations, promotions, and pricing initiatives within your team.

Experience Required:

• Proven buyer experience in the furniture industry is essential.
• Ability to demonstrate awareness of new and upcoming trends.
• Excellent understanding of consumer behavior and the marketplace.
• Strong communication skills to engage with suppliers and team members effectively.
• A knack for building relationships and influencing stakeholders.
