Overview

Vision for Education - Hull is urgently seeking behaviour specialist teaching assistants to work at Vision for Education - Hull's client primary schools throughout the region, supporting pupils displaying challenging behaviour.

The Role:

  • Once cleared for work, you will have the option to take on longer-term roles in individual schools or choose day-to-day supply cover, which could see you working at different schools each week (within a 15-mile radius).
  • Both roles require a flexible and resilient attitude.
  • As a behaviour support assistant, you will work with a specific child, developing and maintaining an effective and supportive relationship, promoting emotional wellbeing and identifying triggers.
  • You will provide academic support, recording progress and reporting to the teacher.

Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 6 months recent experience working with either small groups or 1:1 with pupils who may demonstrate challenging behaviour and may have Special Educational Needs.
  • Be able to provide a safe and positive learning environment and de-escalate any threatening or aggressive behaviour.
  • Mentor and engage with pupils, successfully delivering specifically designed educational packages.
