As a Service Manager, you will join The Mill supported living service that aids 12 young people (aged 16-21) who are threatened with homelessness, leaving care, or who are looked-after children at risk.
Role Responsibilities
As a Service Manager, you will have knowledge and experience of working with young people with complex needs, homelessness, and the impact this has on their well-being. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting young people to maximize their benefits and gain independent living skills.
- Promoting health, well-being, and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Encouraging involvement in local training, education, and employment opportunities.
The Ideal Candidate
Turning Point is looking for a Service Manager with an NVQ or relevant experience in Youth work. Key qualifications and skills include:
- Solid understanding of homelessness and its impact on young people.
- Experience in support planning and motivating young people.
- Ability to manage the day-to-day running of the Project team.
- Strong communication skills and a flexible approach.
