Cyber Insights Summer School (CISS) is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to enhance their skills in the cybersecurity field. This classroom-based training program will take place in Lancashire over a span of 10 weeks, from 30th June to 5th September 2025.
A summer that’ll turn your passion into a career. This program is designed for motivated individuals eager to learn. You will gain valuable insights into how technology is used to keep the UK safe, working with experts in the field and engaging in practical exercises.
Throughout the 10-week program, you will:
- Participate in interactive lectures and workshops
- Engage in practical exercises with hands-on projects
- Enjoy social activities to network with peers
Students will receive a weekly payment of £300, with accommodation covered by GCHQ.
Requirements to join:
- Working towards a minimum 2:2 degree in a STEM subject or related field
- On track to graduate between summers 2026-2029
- Basic understanding of a programming language (e.g., Python, C, JavaScript)
This unique opportunity allows you to gain experience in cyber operations, and on completion, you may wish to consider applying for other GCHQ programs or placements in the future.
