Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for committed individuals to join The Community Resource Team (CRT) Homecare, which operates throughout Cardiff. Cardiff Council support the citizens of Cardiff in preventing unnecessary hospital admissions, facilitating discharges from hospital, and aim to assist people in living independently in their own homes. Cardiff Council work closely with Cardiff Council's health colleagues to support the service user with their reablement goals and to achieve what matters to them. Cardiff Council carry out an assessment with the service user in order to build a plan that supports their individual needs and assists them in achieving their wellbeing goals.

About the Job

This post is permanent, with a commitment of 30 hours per week. Care staff will receive the recently regraded increased pay scale. The role involves supporting clients to achieve their goals while working alongside health professionals. A service delivery plan supports the carer in their daily duties. Carers work to a rota with various shifts available, including evening and weekend work. Each carer has a mobile device that allocates their daily tasks.

What Cardiff Council is Looking For From You

Cardiff Council require good observation and recording skills, along with a flexible, focused approach to work in a dynamic and fast-changing service. A caring nature and the ability to train to achieve the relevant HSc (previously NVQ/QCF) level required for the post is essential. The ability to speak other languages, particularly Welsh and Community Languages, is an advantage.
