Suffolk County Council's Mental Health and Learning Disability and Autism services are seeking a safeguarding expert to join Suffolk County Council's management team. The people Suffolk County Council support are more likely to experience abuse and neglect than other members of the community. Suffolk County Council aim to ensure that Suffolk County Council's safeguarding practice is Outstanding, embedding the ACS signs of safety model in all teams.
Your role and responsibilities:
- Support and advise on safeguarding practice quality.
- Engage directly with people needing care, their families, and wider networks.
- Develop partnership arrangements to ensure best practice.
- Lead thematic audits and multi-agency case reviews.
- Evaluate and report on quality assurance impacts.
You will need:
- A Social Work qualification recognized by Social Work England.
- Evidence of continuing professional development.
- Collaborative approach and effective partnership skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and policies.
- Strong communication skills in verbal and written formats.
- A passion for improving the lives of the people of Suffolk.
- A commitment to relationship and strengths-based practice.
- A DBS check will be undertaken for the successful candidate.
