Job Description: Senior Practitioner - Thriving Communities

This is an exciting opportunity to join the RESET Adolescent Safeguarding service at Newham Council.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will work within an integrated multi-disciplinary service dedicated to supporting vulnerable children and their families impacted by exploitation and extra-familial harm. You will provide a whole-family approach, assisting children on the edge of care and those at risk of offending.

About the Job

Your role will involve:

  • Driving improvements in school attendance and reducing suspensions and exclusions.
  • Enhancing the emotional well-being of children accessing support.
  • Providing focused early intervention support to prevent children becoming 'looked after'.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting high-functioning teams of youth practitioners and community partners.
  2. Contributing to evidence-based practices for existing and new programs.
  3. Building strong partnerships with community stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.

About You

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Strong practice development skills and experience delivering high-quality interventions.
  • Experience with systemic principles and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work within multi-disciplinary settings.
  • Experience in developing training for various audiences.
  • Proficiency in using IT systems to monitor team activities and support quality assurance.

Salary and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from £46,041 - £49,083 per annum and comes with a fixed-term contract until April 2025.
