As a result of a recent £15 million investment in Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital's Interventional Radiology Unit (IRU) and a complete refurbishment of the Cardiac catheter labs, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital's department is thriving. Working alongside Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital's Specialist Physiologists and a team of 24 Consultant Cardiologists, you will play a pivotal role in patient care.

Main Duties of the Job
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital's CRM team. You should be confident, reliable, and flexible.
The CRM service is well established, encompassing Brady, ILR, CRTD, ICD, SICD, Micra, and CSP implants and follow-ups. This service is supported by 7 Cardiologists and 7 Physiologists.
In the last year, Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital performed approximately 1250 device implants, confirming Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital's position as the largest implanting centre in the UK. Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital also monitor over 4000 devices and ILRs remotely, utilizing systems from three manufacturers, and offer outreach follow-up clinics to surrounding hospitals.
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital's service is rapidly growing, including a comprehensive range of diagnostic EP studies and complex ablation procedures.
To qualify, you must have experience as a Band 6 in CRM and possess or be working towards accreditation in Devices and/or Electrophysiology (BHRS / IBHRE / EHRA).
Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital offer a commitment to an on-call rota for CRM only—currently 1 in 13 on a rotational basis—with a weekend commitment as Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital strive for 7-day working.

Job Responsibilities
- Provide clinical and leadership support to all Rhythm management colleagues.
- Act as a resource for support and guidance of Cardiology staff at the Trust level as required.
- Assist in the placement of appropriate personnel and skills across the directorate.
- Implement and adhere to Trust and Directorate procedures, policies, and guidelines.
- Promote good working relationships within the multi-disciplinary team, working closely with the Lead Physiologist Rhythm Manager.
- Manage staff performance and development through constructive reviews and personal development plans.
- Monitor and manage staff sickness and absence.
- Ensure completion of mandatory training for all staff, including COSHH, Health & Safety, Infection Control, and others.
- Identify and report performance issues following Trust policy.
- Act as an ambassador for the Trust in professional and public settings.
- Comply with the patient complaints procedure of the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital NHS Trust.
Person Specification
Qualifications
- BSc Clinical Physiology, Cardiology, or equivalent with extensive experience at a senior level.
- BHRS / IBHRE / EHRA accreditation in pacing and/or electrophysiology.
Experience
- Knowledge and experience in all areas of Technical Cardiology.
Skills
- Able to work as an independent practitioner in implantable device and rhythm management.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
