The Opportunity

Aggregate Industries now have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Fitter to join Aggregate Industries's regional engineering team, offering maintenance support to multiple sites in the area. You’ll be part of Aggregate Industries's team of engineers covering Ready-mix & Asphalt sites as well as two Quarries across the Central Belt region.

With the support of experienced engineers, you’ll learn and develop your existing skills to become an expert in Aggregate Industries's industrial environment. There is a real variety of environments, projects, and faults to work with, so you’ll (subject to your experience) spend your initial six months in the “passenger” seat, buddied up with one of Aggregate Industries's other engineers to build your knowledge of this sector.

Covering Monday-Friday days, you’ll attend breakdowns and scheduled work across the Central Belt region. Aggregate Industries's base of operations for the area is at Duntiland, near Shotts, so you’ll need to be commutable to Aggregate Industries's site here.

  • You’ll have experience working within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment.
  • Looking to upskill and learn welding/fabrication techniques to boost your existing fitting knowledge.
  • Safety is a big part of Aggregate Industries's culture, so you’ll ideally have experience with Risk Assessments & Method Statements.
