Art Technician

Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Art Technician within the Art Faculty at Mayfield School, located in Redbridge. Mayfield School is looking for an enthusiastic individual who has previous experience working in a Secondary School environment.

Job Overview

Schedule: 33 hours per week, Term Time only, including designated INSET.

Working Hours:

• Monday-Thursday: 08:15 - 15:45
• Friday: 08:15 - 13:45 (includes a 30-minute daily unpaid break, which must be taken during the school day)

Salary:

Scale 3 point 6: £20,987 per annum actual (£27,438 per annum FTE).

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of resources for practical lessons under the supervision of the Faculty Lead or Class Teacher.
• Maintain the use of practical resources and facilities to meet curriculum requirements.
• Provide advice and support during lessons to both students and staff.
• Back display boards in the school as required, with three hours allocated within contracted time, though this may vary weekly.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience as an Art Technician in a secondary school setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teachers and students.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to art materials and equipment.
