The role involves providing interventions to people who engage in harmful behaviour to help reduce their likelihood of reoffending. As a Programme Facilitator, you will deliver various Accredited Programmes, including:
- Thinking Skills Programme
- Building Better Relationships
- Horizon and iHorizon
- New Me Strengths
- Structured Interventions: Stepwise Problem Solving, Stepwise Emotions, and Stepwise Relationships
Your primary responsibility will be to deliver group and individual work to individuals under Community Orders or on licence after release from prison. These programmes are designed to support individuals in desisting from crime and leading fulfilling, pro-social lives.
Team Collaboration
You will work alongside a dedicated team of colleagues who are passionate about motivating and helping people on probation. Together, you will ensure that individuals receive the highest quality input and support while providing guidance to Probation Practitioners and Domestic Abuse Safety Officers.
Work Schedule and Travel
The majority of programmes are delivered in the evening, making evening work essential. Additionally, you will travel to various locations to deliver these programmes, with travel expenses claimable.
Training and Development
Extensive training and support are provided to ensure that all Programme Facilitators are confident and competent in their roles. A 6-month probationary period is required, including an assessment centre and passing assessed training.
Salary and Benefits
In addition to the base salary, you will receive unsocial hours payments for evening and Saturday work. Saturdays attract a premium of 50%, while evening work garners an additional 30%.

- Plan and deliver interventions to individuals on probation, fostering a therapeutic and safe environment.
- Adhere to statutory responsibilities for safeguarding and public protection policies.
- Monitor group dynamics and address any problematic behaviour.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, feedback, and risk issues.
- Communicate progress and concerns regarding individuals on probation to relevant staff.
- Conduct workshops and briefings on the available interventions.
- Participate in regular feedback sessions to uphold audit standards.
