Heavy Forklift/ Straddle Carrier Driver

Maritime Transport have a fantastic opportunity for a full-time permanent Heavy Forklift Straddle Carrier Driver in Maritime Transport's busy depot based in Dordon, Tamworth. If you have previous experience in forklift truck work with proof of a license and at least 2 years of experience, then this could be the opportunity for you.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Loading and unloading various sizes and weights of ISO shipping containers.
• Stacking containers in allocated areas.
• Ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery and a reasonable knowledge of how the machine works.

Candidate Requirements:

• A flexible approach and the ability to undertake a variety of production duties.
• High level of focus under pressure to deliver an accurate and punctual service to Maritime Transport's customers and colleagues.
• Forklift Truck experience or proof of a Forklift truck certificate within the last 5 years.
• The ability to operate empty/loaded container handlers – desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
• Must have your own transport.

The flexibility to work a 3-shift pattern when required is essential.
