Salary: £25,000

Hours: 37.5 hours per week including evening and weekends

Contract Type: Permanent x5 FTE roles

Location: Swindon

Working with children and young people (CYP) emotional needs across all elements of the iTHRIVE model. This diverse and exciting role delivers a range of interventions to CYP at various stages of their emotional recovery and safety needs. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary community team, you will work on a rotational basis across community day and educational provisions, as well as the ‘urgent need’ Haven evening service, including weekends.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting the mental and emotional well-being of CYP within ABL Health's community. This position involves:

  • Providing direct urgent mental health services.
  • Collaborating with families, emergency services, CAMHS, schools, and community organisations.
  • Contributing to a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for young people.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience in providing direct urgent need mental health support.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people.
  • Knowledge of effective responses to challenging behaviors and de-escalation techniques.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Essential Criteria:

  • Knowledge of development in CYP and family dynamics.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
  • Ability to recognize and respond to child protection and safeguarding concerns.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to engage with CYP of various ages and backgrounds.
  • Efficient problem-solving skills and a polite manner towards colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and running remote meetings.
  • Flexibility to adapt to service needs.
  • Enhanced DBS check.
