Project Worker - Mental Health Support

Hours: 35 per week
(Monday to Thursday 08:30-16:30 & Friday 08:30-15:15)
The Role:
The overall purpose of the Project Worker position is to provide a support and information service to children, young people, and adults regarding mental health promotion and suicide and self-harm prevention. This role aims to enhance awareness, knowledge, and understanding while providing resources and directing individuals to effective sources of support when necessary. The Project Worker will collaborate with a wide variety of organizations across Northern Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health support and information services.
- Work closely with children and young people to promote mental well-being.
- Engage in networking opportunities to enhance support services.
- Deliver training sessions in group settings.
- Facilitate referrals to appropriate support services.
You will have (essential):
- Educated to A Level/RQF Level 3 or equivalent in a related discipline (health, education/training, or social care sector).
- Paid or voluntary experience of working with people with mental health needs and/or children & young people.
- Experience in developing and extending relevant networking opportunities.
- Experience of delivering training in a group setting (groups of 8 or more).
- A full current driving licence and access to a car is essential. Consideration will be given to alternative traveling proposals for applicants with a disability who cannot hold a licence.
