Located at St Philips Marsh, Great Western Railway's team ensures safe, clean, and prompt service delivery for Great Western Railway's customers, working on a variety of engineering and maintenance tasks.

About the job:

As a Stores Assistant, you will play a vital role in Great Western Railway's Warehouse and Storage Activities.

Your main responsibilities will be:

• Assisting in stock supply to Great Western Railway's production team.
• Materials ordering, booking, and stock management.
• Unloading and placing materials accurately.
• Operating forklifts and adhering to waste disposal procedures.
• Complying with safety and health regulations.

About you:

• Strong communication skills.
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
• Able to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Willing to work shifts, including nights.
• Forklift training readiness.

What do I need?

• Previous experience in stores and railway logistics.
• Good educational background.
• Full driving license.
• Understanding of materials management.
• Good IT skills, particularly with SAP and Microsoft Office.

Working pattern:

The shift pattern includes:

• 4 days on followed by 4 days off.
• 4 nights on followed by 4 days off.
• Shifts: Earlies 06:00-16:00, Lates 10:00-20:00, Nights 20:00-06:00.
