Overview

Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? Wessex Water have a great opportunity for you as a Repair and Maintenance (R&M) Supply Operator in the Network Utilities team, which plays a vital role in supplying water to 1.4 million customers.

What you'll do

You will handle a variety of repairs and maintenance tasks to the water supply distribution network. Responsibilities include:

  • Excavating and repairing burst water mains and leaks
  • Making new connections and performing landscaping works
  • Working outdoors as part of a two-person team

What you'll need

This role is based in Dorset, and while candidates from the surrounding area are preferred, those living further away may also apply. Ideal candidates should:

  • Have a positive, can-do attitude
  • Be organized, customer-focused, and a great team player
  • Have experience in installing new services and meters, pipe-laying, and/or general building
  • Possess a current Streetworks ticket and a Health and Safety certificate (training available if needed)
  • Hold a valid driving license

Flexibility in working hours is essential, including out-of-hours work.
