Step 2 Counsellor - Immediate Start

About the Role: Rethink Mental Illness is seeking a dedicated Step 2 Counsellor to join Rethink Mental Illness's integrated mental health team at HMP Millsike. You will deliver brief intervention counselling for individuals experiencing depressive symptoms, following IAPT guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and facilitate person-centred counselling.
• Ensure effective referral management and maintain confidentiality.
• Collaborate with mental health teams for a stepped care approach.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (or equivalent) with BACP accreditation eligibility.
• Experience in IAPT settings and knowledge of clinical data management.

Desirable: Experience working with offenders and knowledge of complementary therapies.
