What You'll Do
This role is part of a team focused on building Sainsbury's's personalised customer decisioning engine, which drives customer engagement through optimised offers and discounts. Key responsibilities include:
- Understanding known behaviour and trends across Sainsbury’s.
- Building Sainsbury's's “Next Best Message” capability to tailor customer communications.
- Assessing customer value and sensitivity to pricing, promotions, and offers.
- Innovating new approaches to improve Sainsbury's's processes.
- Ensuring deliverables are documented, repeatable, scalable, and shareable.
- Collaborating with Data Engineers to productionise outputs.
What Sainsbury's're Looking For
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Familiarity with Python (desirable but not essential).
- Experience with Jupyter notebooks and Git for version control.
- Strong analytical skills with a foundation in predictive modelling.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure (desirable).
- Proactive problem solver with a desire to develop technical skills.
- Commercial awareness and business acumen.
- Effective communicator with technical proficiency.
- Attention to detail regarding data quality and ethics.
- Understanding of technology trends in Analytics.
