Assistant Cook

Overview

MORLEY HAYES have a great opportunity for a Part Time Assistant Cook to join MORLEY HAYES's team in MORLEY HAYES's Golf Pavilion.

The successful applicant will be an enthusiastic team member who will strive to prepare and produce great food for both MORLEY HAYES's Spike Bar and Special Events.

The Spike Bar provides informal dining for golfers and non-golfers, serving all-day breakfast, light snacks, and full meals using predominately fresh and locally sourced ingredients. MORLEY HAYES's Golf Pavilion caters for wedding receptions, golf days, and special events.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Assist in the preparation, cooking, and serving of food
• Ensure that dishes are prepared and cooked according to recipes, menus, timescales, and standards set
• Organize, rotate, and control stock
• Assist with the unloading of delivered food supplies
• Follow food hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen in accordance with health and safety, food hygiene, and COSHH regulations

Qualifications and Skills

• Experience in kitchen operations
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to work unsupervised and take initiative once trained by MORLEY HAYES's head chef
• Exceptional time management and organization skills
• Flexible to work when required via a rota system, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays

Rate of Pay

The rate of pay is dependent on experience and will be discussed at the interview stage.
