Overview

Job Summary

The Accounts Supervisor will be a key member of EBar's leadership team, managing accounts and administrative processes in a fully paperless environment, using tools such as Xero, Pleo, and Dext.

Responsibilities:

  • Check and update coding of transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation.
  • Reconcile bank transactions.
  • Ensure timely processing of accounts payable and receivable, engaging with customers and suppliers.
  • Monitor expenditure for value optimization.
  • Run payroll and support HR administration.
  • Manage short-term cash flows and schedule payments.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns.
  • Oversee treasury management and ensure liquidity.
  • Prepare and review financial statements for accuracy and compliance with UK GAAP.
  • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Prepare financial reports for management.
  • Assist in budget and financial forecast preparation.
  • Resolve accounting discrepancies.
  • Liaise with external accountants for annual accounts preparation.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in management accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Drive for accuracy with strong leadership abilities.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and self-start.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
