Cygnet have an excellent full-time opportunity at Cygnet's brand new hospital, Cygnet Kenney House, starting in January 2025. Kenney House will be a 40-bedded unit in Oldham, opening two of the three wards – the PICU and the Acute services, with the third, Rehab Services, opening later. All wards will cater to Adult females, designed in line with the Royal College of Psychiatry's Standards of excellence.

In this role, you'll combine clinical expertise with strategic acumen and inspiring leadership to oversee the delivery of the best care. You will serve as the Consultant Psychiatrist on Billington Ward, Cygnet's Female PICU Ward, which supports up to 13 inpatients.

Your role responsibilities include:

  • Leading on all aspects of clinical practice & serving as an example of operational excellence
  • Ensuring optimal clinical outcomes for the individuals in Cygnet's care
  • Providing expert knowledge & support within the service & to the wider team
  • Ensuring quality & compliance with internal & external standards & regulations
  • Working with colleagues to provide integrated, whole-person treatment & care

Cygnet is looking for someone who is:

  • Fully GMC registered with a relevant medical qualification
  • An accomplished leader & clinician with strong line management & communication skills
  • Experienced in a mental health setting and a multidisciplinary team
  • Knowledgeable about all aspects of clinical governance
  • Skilled in medical appraisals, clinical supervision, case investigation & case management

Successful candidates will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
