Overview

Location: Recycling Pixash Lane, Keynsham

Bath and North East Somerset Council's Recycling Department is responsible for the removal of various types of waste, including:

  • Household recycling and waste
  • Industrial and commercial waste
  • Organic waste
  • Dry recyclable waste from locations such as houses, shops, and schools

The Recycling Department comprises several operational roles, and Bath and North East Somerset Council encourage training and development. Once you join as a B&NES employee, Bath and North East Somerset Council will assist you in progressing from a loader to a driver role with paid driver training.

Position: Recycling Collections Operative (Post 41878) - £24,702 per annum pro rata

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lifting and emptying waste containers, including:
    • Food caddies
    • Card sacks
    • Household bins
    • Plastic sacks
    • Wheelie bins
    • Paper sacks
  • Working efficiently as part of a team
  • Ensuring the timely collection of waste and recycling materials
