About the Team
Extra Care Housing provides support for adults with care needs, offering assured tenancies in self-contained flats within purpose-built or adapted schemes. Bath and North East Somerset Council's services are rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as of June 2022.
About the Role
Your primary work location will be The Orchard in Combe Down, Bath, which fosters a vibrant community atmosphere easily accessible via public transport or car. Bath and North East Somerset Council seek a Care Assistant (Extra Care) on a part-time permanent contract, with 21 hours per week. The role follows a rota system, including every other weekend and some bank holidays, for which enhancements are paid.
Responsibilities
- Assist tenants with personal care activities such as washing, personal hygiene, and dressing.
- Promote tenant independence, choice, dignity, and respect by delivering high standards of care.
- Complete accurate and timely records of care and support provided to tenants.
- Provide support to access third-party and NHS services.
- Be a strong team player and take initiative when required.
- Encourage lifestyle choices, motivating individuals to retain independence.
About You
