About the Job

Luton Rising is looking for a skilled Cost Value Engineer passionate about managing project finances and ensuring cost efficiency. You’ll be the in-house expert on Project Cost Management to assist in planning, estimating, budgeting, and controlling costs across Luton Borough Council's development projects.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project managers, finance team, and senior leadership.
• Provide expert advice on procurement strategies, cashflow forecasts, and cost management requirements.
• Monitor project expenditures and prepare cost reports using Sage Intacct.
• Identify potential financial risks early on.

About You

Luton Borough Council seek someone with experience in cost management, value engineering, and accountancy services. You should have a strong background in development projects, focusing on financial accuracy, with the ability to analyze complex data and produce meaningful reports.

You’ll need to be a confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels and manage your own workload effectively.
