Class 1 Driver

Overview

Search are currently recruiting for a number of HGV Class 1 drivers to work on behalf of Search Consultancy LTD's prestigious client based in Ellesmere Port. This position involves a 4 on 4 off shift pattern with both day and night shifts available, starting on 10th November 2024.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles.
• Conduct depot deliveries and collections, ensuring timely and efficient service.
• Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any issues promptly.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.
• Assist with loading and unloading of goods when necessary.

Pay Rates

• PAYE Rates:
• £14.50/h days
• £16.00/h nights
• £16.50/h Saturday
• £17.50/h Sunday
• PAYE Rates (including holiday pay):
• £16.25/h days
• £17.93/h nights
• £18.49/h Saturday
• £19.61/h Sunday

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license, CPC, Tacho card.
• Experience in general haulage.
• A clean driving record with no major endorsements.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends, as required.
