Job Summary/Purpose

The Trainee Customer Support Operative is responsible for the day-to-day remediation of issues in customers’ homes. This role takes ownership of ongoing customer issues as required, coordinating with the Customer Support Coordinator to ensure the correct resources are available to resolve identified issues on the appointed date.

Primary Responsibilities

Repair

  • Undertake planned and reactive remedial work across various trades, including carpentry and painting.
  • Coordinate work as required and conduct inspections as directed.
  • Efficiently source additional materials with the agreement of the CSC team when needed.

Customer Service

  • Engage in regular customer liaison to maintain updates.
  • Stay composed when dealing with challenging customers and situations.
  • Communicate clearly and honestly with customers, maintaining integrity and respect.

Teamwork

  • Support and assist team members as needed.

Cost Control

  • Plan work safely and cost-effectively, identifying opportunities to reduce costs and enhance standards.
  • Account for expenses and produce weekly accounts.

Health and Safety

  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and demonstrate a strong understanding of NHBC standards.

Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Clean driving licence.
