Counterbalance FLT Driver

Overview

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment has partnered with a company in Chesterfield that operates a state-of-the-art fulfilment centre searching for Counterbalance FLT Drivers.

This is a temporary to permanent position with progression opportunities!

Please note, you MUST agree to a DBS check.

The Job

• Counterbalance FLT driver (proof of a valid licence required)
• Indoor and outdoor position (counterbalance has covers for poor weather)
• Moving empty pallets from the warehouse into the yard
• Stacking empty pallets in the yard up to 20 high
• Stacking curtain side trailers with empty pallets up to 10 high
• All the above in reverse (removing pallets from trailer etc.)
• Moving bales of cardboard from the warehouse to the recycling area in the yard

Important Information

• You will need to complete four hours of training, which will form part of your first shift
• Must have a solid ability to read and write
• You will be required to have a drivers’ medical upon joining the company
• You will be required to have a DBS check upon joining the company

The Hours

• Days – 4 on 4 off 08:00-18:30
• Nights – 4 on 4 off 19:00-05:30

The Pay

• Day rate - £12.60 per hour
• Night rate - £13.60 per hour
