Craft Operative – Carpenter

Overview

To effectively work on own initiative and within a small team of operatives completing disabled adaptations work for tenants' homes, ensuring they maintain a decent quality of life. Candidates must possess competence, skills, and experience in the craft trade.

Responsibilities

• Carry out duties in conjunction with adaptations work for the Disabled Adaptations service.
• Engage in physical activities including lifting, bending, and climbing.
• Follow instructions from the Maintenance & Contracts management team and attend pre-planned appointments promptly.
• Organize and manage materials required, reading and keeping records.
• Operate vehicles and plant equipment related to building maintenance.
• Maintain high-quality workmanship and productivity standards.
• Utilize new IT technology to deliver goals and objectives.
• Communicate effectively with customers and ensure adherence to health and safety standards.

Requirements

Must be educated to GCSE standard or equivalent in English and Maths and possess a City & Guilds Craft/advanced Certificate.

Working Hours

37 hours per week, 08:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 – 16:00 Friday.
