About Cedarbank School

Cedarbank School is situated in the Dedridge district of Livingston and provides for pupils from all over West Lothian who have additional support needs (ASN). Admission is recommended by West Lothian Council in consultation with parents/carers.

The school is housed in a brand new purpose-built building, featuring facilities such as:

  • Food Tech and Science classrooms
  • Library, music, and art areas

Outdoor Learning

Outdoor learning is vital to West Lothian Council current's community and forms part of West Lothian Council current's curriculum. S3 learners follow the ASDAN Gardening short course, and in the Senior Phase, they can undertake SQA Rural Skills or Horticulture. Qualifications and Requirements

A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland are essential. This post is considered Regulated Work with Vulnerable Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful candidates will need to join the Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check prior to employment; the cost will be borne by the candidate. The fee for Full PVG Scheme Membership is £59 or £18 for Existing Members.
