Overview

The role of Temporary Customer Services Application Officer/Admin involves processing applications accurately and efficiently for a range of Council services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process applications using agreed procedures to meet performance and quality targets.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all clients.
  • Engage in regular training to become proficient in processing various applications.
  • Proactively seek improvements in processing quality and support team members.
  • Liaise with colleagues and external customers to resolve queries.
  • Complete allocated work by prioritizing to meet targets.
  • Follow Council procedures regarding customer feedback and complaints.
  • Carry out other duties compatible with the Applications Team's objectives.

Qualifications

Good general education including GCSE grade A*-C (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with workplace ICT systems and effective data entry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize work independently.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
  • Experience in delivering excellent customer service.
  • Familiarity with local authority applications like HMO Licensing and Planning is desirable.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office or equivalent.

Note: Clients generally prefer candidates who reside locally or can commute easily.
