Your Responsibilities

  • Deliver high savings targets through robust sourcing events, ensuring that suppliers meet operational requirements while providing best value for Tesco.
  • Develop strong collaborations with partners to support, endorse, and deliver sub-category plans aligned with procurement strategies.
  • Build and deliver innovative sub-category plans in collaboration with cross-functional partners.
  • Supervise and report on savings targets for specified sub-categories using the agreed process.
  • Build and develop supplier relationships to ensure suitability and create greater value across the organization.
  • Support the business in achieving compliance with procurement policies with integrity and good judgment.

Requirements

  • Experience in leading large categories within large-scale organizations.
  • Strong procurement management and negotiation skills, with experience in multi-million-pound sourcing events.
  • Capability to lead sophisticated projects and drive innovation.
  • Cross-functional working and partner engagement with strong influencing skills.
  • Supplier relationship and performance management skills.
  • Category planning skills, with the ability to build and implement strategies.
  • High level of commercial competence and contract management skills.
