Ensures the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse materials, goods, and products to meet business operations and customer demand.
Core Responsibilities and Duties
- Unloading vehicles by hand or with a forklift truck and checking in stock.
- Checking and reporting any damaged or missing goods.
- Sorting and placing materials or items on racks and shelves, either by hand or using a forklift truck.
- Collecting items from throughout the warehouse and preparing orders for delivery or pickup according to a schedule.
- Ensuring delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards.
- Performing warehouse inventory controls via scanner and/or computer.
- Conducting stock counting and location checks.
- Ensuring all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.
- Operating in a safe manner while complying with all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Performing routine maintenance on the forklift truck.
- Cleaning and maintaining the warehouse.

Experience
Experience is valued over time served; quality is more important than quantity. Required experience includes:
- Counterbalance Forklift truck license.
- Experience in a fast-paced, target-driven warehouse environment.
- VNA or reach truck license.
- Previous use of Dexterity.
Knowledge & Qualifications
Knowledge required includes the ability to follow instructions and any specialized skills. Qualifications must be justified based on the work requirements:
- Awareness of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Certification to operate a forklift.
- First aid training.
