The Opportunity:
Avantor is looking for a dedicated Warehouse Operative. Based at MESM in Chorley, UK, you will work in a fast-paced environment responsible for a variety of inbound, outbound, and IT-related tasks as part of Avantor's Distribution & Warehouse Operations.
About MESM:
MESM (Medical Equipment Supplies & Management) specializes in sourcing, supply, service, and end-of-study support for medical and laboratory equipment in the clinical trial industry, with a growing customer list and geographical reach.
The Team:
You will join a passionate team of 9 in a clean, organized, and highly structured warehouse environment. This is a full-time position based out of Avantor's MESM site in Buckshaw Village, working Monday to Friday with no overtime or night shifts.
What Avantor is Looking For:
- Experience: Previous experience in picking & packing, goods in & out, dispatch & returns.
- Knowledge: Stock evaluation and inventory management.
- IT Skills: Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and SAP or ERP.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with diligence.
- Reliability and dependability.
- Proactive and adaptable to various tasks.
- FLT Licence and valid truck licence are desirable.
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
How You Will Thrive:
You will manage the movement of shipments from shipping and receiving areas to storage. Responsibilities include verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, preparing items for dispatch, examining shipments for compliance, and ensuring operational success.
