Nursery Cleaner

Overview

Location: Tops Winchester, Winchester, Hampshire

About the Role: Tops Day Nurseries's cleaner ensures the nursery premises are clean and tidy, including the laundry room. You will also check stock and reorder supplies as necessary. Proficiency in operating all required cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and dishwashers, is essential.

Responsibilities:

• Disinfecting surfaces, toys, and furniture to maintain a hygienic environment.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Maintaining cleanliness in communal areas, including kitchens and staff rooms.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting all areas.
• Using cleaning equipment, materials, and chemicals safely and effectively.
• Reporting any problems or damages.

Qualifications:

• Previous cleaning experience, ideally in childcare or educational settings.
• Understanding hygiene and safety standards in environments with children.
• Awareness of sustainable practices, including energy conservation and recycling.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Ability to follow cleaning schedules and complete tasks timely.
