Bath and North East Somerset Council is looking for an Extra Care Shift Leader to be based in one of Bath and North East Somerset Council's Extra Care Services at Hawthorn Court on a part-time basis. This permanent role is for 24.5 hours per week and involves a rota system with a combination of early (starting at 7:30 am) and late shifts (finishing at 10:15 pm), including working every other weekend and some bank holidays for which enhancements are paid.

About Extra Care

Extra Care Housing is designed for adults with some care needs, offering assured tenancy in a self-contained flat. Bath and North East Somerset Council's Extra Care services have been rated ‘Good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as of June 2022.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality care services are delivered to all service users.
• Supervise a team in a busy environment, providing guidance and support.
• Communicate clearly and empathetically with colleagues and service users.
