Job Responsibilities

• Collection, sorting and categorising of soiled and clean linen in preparation for washing and finishing.
• Loading and unloading of washing machines and dryers, ensuring that all work processed is given the correct amount of time.
• Distribution of clean linen to the relevant departments, replenishing stocks as required.
• Ensure cleanliness of all equipment.
• Checking of detergents and notifying the appropriate staff member when they need ordering.
• To assist with cleaning duties as and when required.
• To undergo training as required.
• Ensure that safe working practices are maintained at all times and that duties are performed in accordance with Health & Safety, COSHH and other relevant statutory requirements.
• To read, understand and comply with all Laundry policies and procedures, applying the principles as appropriate to the role.
• To ensure mandatory training is completed.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £23,615 a year, reflecting the responsibilities and demands of the role.

Skills and Experience Requirements

• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
• Good communication skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
