Support Worker - Waking Nights

Overview

Summary:

The Support Worker for Waking Nights role involves providing essential care and support to individuals with learning disabilities. Discovery's small, person-centered team in Shepton Mallet focuses on promoting independence and ensuring a fulfilling life for those Discovery support.

Responsibilities:

• Carrying out “keeping safe checks” at regular intervals to ensure the people Discovery support are safe and comfortable.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary environment.
• Keeping written records using IT systems, including support plans, incident logs, and health and safety records.
• Creating a calm, therapeutic environment for the individuals Discovery support.
• Supporting individuals to enjoy their late evenings/nights as they wish.
• Providing personal care when required.
