As the Digital Trading Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the merchandising curation strategy across key touchpoints of the website. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of digital visual/site merchandising, homepage, and campaign best practices. You will help optimise global onsite activities for the website across all devices, influencing the end-to-end customer journey, increasing conversion, and driving sales. This role also supports the venture and marketplace strategy.
The role will be highly collaborative, with key stakeholders including Digital Trading, Buying, Merchandising, Trade Marketing, and Analytics. Ideally, you will have strong buying, site merchandising, or visual e-commerce experience, with a good commercial understanding and analytical skillset to drive key business decisions. ASOS is looking for someone who is highly entrepreneurial and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where agility is key.
The Digital Trading Specialist will manage the Digital Merchandising Assistant and report to the Digital Trading Manager.
What You'll Be Doing...
- Planning, testing, and executing detailed ranking and sorting rules to ensure category and search pages are relevant and fully optimised across channels/devices.
- Day-to-day tasks collaborating and supporting the digital trading managers to ensure the smooth execution of selling strategies across key events and campaigns.
- Ensuring website standards are maintained to maximise business performance and customer journey, leading the assistant to execute any errors.
- Producing and analysing detailed sales, site, and channel reports by market to optimise the user journey and ensure relevant product positioning and categorisation.
- Managing and optimising the category and navigation structure across channels/devices.
- Managing onsite search, ensuring optimal configuration across markets and enhancing the search experience.
- Working with relevant tech platform teams on systems development, requirements, and testing.
- Working closely with relevant teams to plan and execute trade events and other initiatives.
- Supporting with campaign launches, rollout of new features and digital products.
- Supporting the management team in delivery of department strategy, driving the team forward through effective leadership, training, and development.
- Acting as a role model and nurturing a positive and productive working environment.
