Overview

The Design Team looks for inspiration all around the world, from street style and vintage shopping to music, art, the catwalk, and all things creative. The goal is to design the latest product for ASOS's 20-something customer, ensuring newness and excitement in every piece.

About the Role

As a Senior Assistant Designer, you will collaborate closely with the Womenswear Senior Denim Designer to create the ASOS DESIGN Denim range aimed at ASOS's twenty-something customers. If you are passionate about fashion design and researching the latest trends, this role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a fast-paced, fashion-forward design team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Researching, developing, and designing the womenswear Denim range, including categories such as Jeans and Denim Dressing (jackets, tops, shirts, shorts, skirts, jumpsuits, and dresses).
• Reacting to sales information to design commercially relevant, fashion-forward ranges.
• Researching current and future trends from various sources to identify newness and translate these insights into first-to-market pieces.
• Working with the technical team on initial fits and assisting in problem-solving for the department.
• Building relationships with suppliers and advising factories on direction, construction, key details, materials, and trims.
• Adhering to the critical path to meet deadlines, ensuring products are developed for optimal selling periods.
• Researching and developing unique products while managing both long lead time and quick reaction short lead ranges.
