Overview

Joining Microsoft as the National Security Officer, you'll help businesses and government achieve their AI transformation goals. You'll utilize your experience in the public sector and other priority industries to open new markets and build trust for Microsoft's cloud and AI platform. Your focus will be on addressing significant challenges and barriers to the adoption of cloud, AI, and other emerging technologies within both government and highly regulated industries. Collaboration with engineering, marketing, field teams, and customers will be essential to mitigate these barriers.

This role allows flexibility, enabling you to work from home up to 50%, with a strong emphasis on external engagement and a frequent requirement for Microsoft onsite presence.

Responsibilities

  • Support the country’s security agencies in building capabilities for national-level cyber-safety and resiliency against next-generation attacks while effectively mitigating current threats.
  • In partnership with Corporate, External & Legal Affairs, and engineering teams, leverage Microsoft's products to address compliance, security, privacy, and sovereignty requirements in the Public Sector, Critical Infrastructure, and regulated industries.
  • Develop and enhance internal and external platforms to bolster skills against current and next-generation AI cybersecurity threats that governments, regulators, and customers face.
  • Drive the vision and execution of the Microsoft Security strategy in alignment with the Enterprise Commercial and Public Sector leadership teams and other key stakeholders.
  • Act as a visible spokesperson for Microsoft, effectively communicating the security vision and capabilities at various industry events.
  • Lead the area's security community to ensure proper messaging and execution of Microsoft's security strategy.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience across multiple disciplines/domains, including security technology and legal/privacy.
  • Certification related to security, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional.
  • Extensive experience in people/project management, particularly with cross-functional teams.
