Overview

What's involved with this role: Interim SEND Team Manager – Education.

Role Length: This opening assignment is for 6 months.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Complete EHC Needs Assessments and oversee Annual Reviews for 2000 EHC Plans.
    • Lead and manage a team responsible for coordinating SEND provision.
    • Allocate resources effectively to meet students' needs.
    • Oversee the assessment and identification process for students' SEND.
    • Coordinate Individual Education Plans (IEPs) development.
    • Collaborate with schools and external agencies.
    • Ensure compliance with legal requirements related to SEND.
    • Monitor and evaluate interventions and support strategies.
    • Provide guidance and support to team members.
    • Facilitate communication among stakeholders.
    • Keep abreast of changes in SEND legislation and policies.

Qualifications: Educated to post graduate level.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 12 months experience in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with SEND and EHCP processes.
  • Management experience for oversight of a case officer team.
  • Strong knowledge of SEND and relevant legislation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages.
