Principal Claims Consultant

Overview

Aon is looking for a Principal Claims Consultant. You will help empower better decisions for Aon's clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions. The role is to lead and handle large, sophisticated property damage and business interruption losses.

• Advising on initial decisions regarding mitigation and reinstatement.
• Assisting in resolving the cause of incidents and working with insurers.
• Calculating an order of magnitude and cash flow forecast.
• Supporting all items of expenditure to substantiate claims.
• Providing advice on the methodology and quantification of losses.
• Leading the claims process through to successful settlement and closure.
• Managing communication with clients and third parties.
• Conducting pre-loss assessments of client programmes.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience as a qualified loss adjuster or claims consultant.
• Strong policy interpretation and technical insurance skills.
• Knowledge in project scheduling and construction estimating.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• MS Office proficiency is crucial.
