About
Barratt Developments plc is one of the largest residential property development companies in the United Kingdom operating across England, Wales and Scotland. It was founded in 1958 as Greensitt Bros., but control was later assumed by Sir Lawrie Barratt.
We build new homes and neighbourhoods across the country, from Aberdeen to Plymouth, helping to meet housing need in urban and rural areas. We are also leaders in brownfield development and urban regeneration. Wherever we build, we know how much a home matters, so we take pride in creating high quality homes and sustainable places.
Our three brands, Barratt Homes, David Wilson Homes and Barratt London offer a variety of properties, from stylish city-centre apartments to luxury detached houses in the beautiful countryside. As well as homes for ownership, we build properties for rent and shared ownership, often working with local authority or housing association partners.
